Deltas: a new classification expanding Bates’s concepts

چکیده
Abstract Deltas constitute complex depositional systems formed when a land-derived gravity-flow (carrying water and sediments) discharges into marine or lacustrine standing body of water. However, the complexity deltaic sedimentary environments has been oversimplified by geoscientists over years, considering just littoral deltas as unique possible type delta in natural systems. Nevertheless, rational analysis suggests that can be much more complex. In fact, characteristics deposits will depend on interplay between bulk density incoming flow salinity receiving body. This paper explores conditions sedimentation according to different contrasts. The allows recognize three main fields for sedimentation, corresponding (1) hypopycnal (2) homopycnal (3) hyperpycnal settings. field represents situation is lower than basin. According body, types are recognized: hypersaline (HSLD), (MLD), brackish (BLD). basin determine capacity producing effective buoyant plumes, consequently extension prodelta deposits. Homopycnal (HOLD) form roughly similar typical clean bedload-dominated rivers entering freshwater lakes. Delta front dominated sediment avalanches. Typical fallout absent poorly developed since no plumes generated. Hyperpycnal higher interaction type, (due concentration suspended defines deltas, (HLD), subaqueous (HSD), fan (HFD). low-gradient shallow-water dirty enter normal-salinity basins, typically wave tide-dominated epicontinental seas represent most common delta, with channels lobes generated settings during long-lasting sediment-laden river-flood discharges. Finally, high-gradient episodic high-density fluvial

Skin substitutes : current concepts and a new classification system
Complex wounds are characterized by complete loss of cutaneous cover. The most common plastic surgery technique is the autogenous skin graft; however, the amount of material available from donor areas is often limited. The development of synthetic or biological products as skin substitutes is therefore an area of interest. The present study aimed to clas sify the different types of skin substit...

In this report, nine patients with insulinoma who were operated on between 19H5 and I <J<J3 at the Shohada Medical Center affiliated to the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran are presented. There were three males and six females (male to female ratio I :2) and the patients' age ranged from 23 to 60 years old (mean age 37.6 years old). Duration of symptoms was from thr...
متن کاملConcepts for a New Generation of Global Modelling Tools: Expanding our Capacity for Perception
It is now twenty years since the issues associated with the global 'problematique' were widely publicized in Limits to Growth, the pioneering study commissioned by the Club of Rome. In the meantime much has been written, but real action that might lead to a more harmonious and sustainable future has not been forthcoming. Indeed there is evidence that these issues are becoming even more threaten...

It has used epic literatu...
متن کاملNew Taxonomy of Classification Methods Based on Formal Concepts Analysis
Data mining is an essential step in knowledge extraction from data. Various approaches have been proposed in supervised classification of data, among them approaches based on Formal Concept Analysis. In this paper we present a new taxonomy of classification methods based on Formal Concept Analysis.
